second december weekend

This weekend will definitely go down as the weekend of parties.

Friday night we headed to Layton to see the lights. We've lived near Layton for over five years and this is the first time we have ever made it there. I can't believe we have missed out all those years. Funnest lights, happiest atmosphere with Christmas music playing everywhere, and just very Christmasy! Afterwards we headed to Justin's sister for dinner and visiting. The boys and Aunt Alisa played the piano together and that just made me so happy to hear them. Then we went home way too late. :)

Saturday morning the boys had their piano recital. Their teacher encouraged each of the kids to play their pieces memorized. Corbin, Taylor, and the teacher's son were the only ones who tried it. It was hard for both of them, but they did it and I was so proud of them! Corbin's friend also played there and was so sweet to Corbin when he was feeling discouraged.♥♥♥ Later that day we made muddy buddies and then got to party with Mandi and her kids. We missed Jon who was home sick :(  The kids were in heaven!

Sunday we enjoyed church and a very relaxing afternoon at home. Adeline is at that age where church is a little more challenging. But there are good days where she sits and looks through books so I can listen to the Relief Society lesson. Corbin made Justin a gift in one of his classes and was dying to give it to his dad! That evening we had Justin's cousin and her family over for dinner. Five years in the making...and they only live 15 minutes away.

So I guess this was the weekend to party and accomplish things that has only taken us five years to get to!
