Silver Lake

At the end of Big Cottonwood Canyon, there is a beautiful lake surrounded by pine trees and the sweetest trail there ever was. It's one of our favorite adventures.

Last year, the kids found a fun little fort that they couldn't wait to get to again. We like to stop there, eat lunch, let the kids play for a while, and then continue on our way. This year we decided to hike a little farther to Twin Lakes. It added a couple of miles to our hiking and was pretty steep. The kids did a fantastic job.

The scenery was completely beautiful! These hikes, no matter how hard, are always worth it.

On our way back to our cars, we saw a couple of moose. We stayed back, but it was so cool to see them.

The ride home is always enjoyable - music playing, lots of re-hydrating, and the best feeling of knowing we had a fun, exhausting day.

Snow Basin Hike

Blue skies, green plants, weekly hike....and Rudger forgot his shoes. Woops. We still managed to have a great time. I carried Rudger some of the time, Corbin carried him, and he walked, but only until we were all done. Then we went home to take a bath! :)

And no matter how often I tell Adeline not to pick the flowers, because we want other people to enjoy them like we are, she still manages to have a bouquet at the end :)

Wild Rose Hike

This year we wanted to check out a couple of hikes we've never been to before. Wild Rose is only 20 minutes away and how I never knew about it, I don't know.

Rudger was feeling sick and since Justin was working from home, he stayed there. We brought a few of our favorite friends and headed off to explore. There were some beautiful flowers and the weather was perfect! And, as usual, Adeline was happy to be in lots of pictures, and for some reason the brothers were never in sight :)

We took daddy and Rudger a week later, and unfortunately most of the flowers were dried up, but it's never a waste of time when we're in the mountains.

Green Pond Hike

We loved our day at Green Pond. Beautiful day with the Worthens, including some yoga poses. (But really, we have no idea if they are yoga poses.) All the green was amazing!!
