Adams Canyon hike

 We hiked Adams Canyon on Saturday. It's the second time the whole family has gone together and I'm so proud of them! It's not easy.

This year the snow has taken longer to melt, so we ran into quite a bit of snow. Going up wasn't bad. Coming down was a lot harder. Rudger held onto my hand while I tried to help him down. There was a couple of times I slipped and fell down, but somehow I managed to keep Rudger from falling too. After we got past the hard part, Rudger told me, "mom, you would rather get hurt than have me get hurt, huh." I told him of course, and then I thought of our Savior and the love he has for us. I'm sure it's so hard for Him to see us suffer, but He is there for us. All we need to do is turn to him and he will help us through the hard parts of our journey. I love Him and having this experience with Rudger was the best thing that happened on this Easter weekend.

Easter weekend 2019

This year we soaked up the Easter spirit beautifully.

I purchased ties for the boys and a dress for Adeline much earlier than I usually do. :) We had our "passover dinner" which was our favorite. There was a neighborhood Easter egg hunt where Adeline scored a pair of fancy 'glass' slippers. The kids woke up to some fun Easter baskets. We had a wonderful Sacrament meeting at church. I've been really wanting to watch Ben Hur with the family for a few years and this year it finally happened! We had cousins come over for dinner (our kids loved their cutest baby cousin!!) And then of course, a successful Easter Egg Hunt!

I absolutely love the spirit of Easter. Love, life, peace, beautiful beginnings, and second chances over and over again. ♥♥

spring break 2019

A week off from school and work is just what we needed! We found a pretty great balance between laziness and adventuring. Our favorites included: a drawing contest, Hill Air Force Museum, making foam swords, a surprise showing of a rocket testing, the Spiral Jetty, hiking city creek, walking around the capitol and then to temple square. We also loved going out to eat and staying up late to watch movies...and of course, no homework and LOTS of much needed family time.

:: Del Taco is always a win for the boys :) + I was pretty proud of my Sophia drawing that I copied from another image, haha ::

:: Justin's Hobbit drawing ::

 :: Hill Airforce Museum, such cool Jets and helicopters, but the best part was watching Corbin carry Adeline ♥♥ ::

:: foam sword fight ::

:: drove by Thiokol and they just happened to be testing a rocket, it was so cool and powerful + it was a long drive to the Spiral Jetty, but Adeline didn't mind one bit ::

:: the Jetty was cool, but the best part was walking out into the Salt Lake ::

:: "Country road, take me home to the place I belong" ::

:: In and Out, but it wasn't our favorite this time :(  ::

 :: Being outside with our family is my very favorite ::

Or at home cuddling together watching a movie....that too!!
