a january weekend recap

:: that mobile is fascinating to her ::
:: we are having all kinds of obsessions over this girl and her cooing stage ::
:: Rudger loves Fridays, mostly once the boysies are home ::
:: my dad has a knack of getting kids attention and making them laugh ::
:: one of the best hamburger places with the tastiest swiss/mushroom hamburger ::
:: after church playtime ::
:: that concentration while memorizing ::
:: tummy time is her least favorite time ::

Also this weekend, we enjoyed homemade hamburgers Friday night, I spent almost the entire day up in Brigham with just Adeline (I love Justin for being so happy to watch our boys), we went to a wedding shower for my soon to be niece, (she's the first to marry into our family and she is wonderful!), we went out to eat with Grandma + Grandpa + Mandi's family...so much fun, we made chocolate chip cookies for my lesson that I taught on Sunday (it totally went with the lesson) and the boys were dying to have one but waited patiently until the end of church, Corbin is joining Justin in memorizing 'The Living Christ' for young mens (so grateful he inherited Justin's ability to memorize).

I would say it was a decent weekend.

this girl loves to be held

I remember the first night Adeline slept in our home, it did not go so well. I would feed her and then lay her down to go to sleep, then just a few minutes later she would wake right up. And that continued all through the night. Part way through the night I realized, this girl had been held almost constantly since the moment she was born. If I wasn't holding her, it was Justin, and if it wasn't Justin, it was definitely one of the boys. Luckily that first night at home was the only time she slept like that. But oh my, during the day, you bet she loves being held. (the following pictures are her most favorite ways to be held)

a january weekend recap

:: making cinnamon rolls for the Friday carpool treat ::
:: Saturday was full of cleaning and laundry and Netflix and tablets ::
:: Rudger really wanted to lay on the floor by Adeline. Her, not so much ::
:: he is a good brother to her ::
:: bath time!! (I love this stage when they bring their hands together and start checking them out ::

Also this weekend, we watched Mulan 2 for our Friday movie, put away Christmas decorations, had a really good healthy salad, enjoyed an awesome Gospel Doctrine class (yay for the Book of Mormon!), had some friends over for treat night, and started reading a fun book to the kids (Peter and the Starcatchers - it's a story about peter pan becoming peter pan and we highly recommend it so far)

We seriously live for the weekends and especially this one, because that week of school and work after the Christmas break was looooong.
