end of the week

Another week behind us. Wednesday wins for being the busiest. We went from volunteering at the school, to fix some cavities at the dentist, to picking up Corbin from school, to dropping Corbin off at piano, to picking up the grade schoolers, to picking Corbin up from piano, to getting kids settled in with homework, to taking Levi to soccer practice, to taking Taylor to pick up his Cello, then to pick up Levi so that we could all go home and not leave the house again.

I'm really happy for the moments I was able to capture this week.

a fall tradition

On the first day where there is a chill in the air, we have chili, potato rolls, and pumpkin pie. This may be one of my very favorite traditions.

And luckily we got to have Mandi, Jon, and their family join us. Have I mentioned how much we LOVE having them live close to us. ♥♥♥

Mandi and Jaina gave Adeline a bracelet. I love these girls...and baby Henry!!

almost fall weekend

:: pillow shopping, with one shoe on and one she off + we put the summer clothes away and pulled out the fall stuff ♥ Adeline found this witch costume ♥ ::

:: a little xbox in place of movie night, however Corbin had a friend over and they chose to watch America's Funniest Home Videos upstairs ::

:: family bike ride + the boys were dying to stop at this tree fort they knew about (and that's Rudger giving a thumbs up, but it totally looks like it's me) :) ::

:: it was a fun 6 1/2 minutes ::

Earlier in the morning while Justin and I were driving to the temple I told him that I really wanted to do family pictures really soon. He said that maybe he could possibly be up for it later that day. I squealed, he probably regretted saying that, and I started dreaming up ideas. (Justin and the boys really hate doing pictures and I really like saying the word really)

We knew we needed to convince the boys, so we told them after pictures we could stop at the store and everyone could pick out a treat to share.

They did awesome, we got the treats, came home, had a sugar coma, and finished the last season of Once Upon a Time.

:: Like I said, serious sugar coma (and my favorite bowl is broken) ::

:: Sunday felt so much like fall and I was probably the happiest mom alive (fall weather that includes family pictures does that to me) ::

a beautiful week

 :: Corbin found a snake and Adeline thought it was the coolest, but she didn't want that thing near her ::
 :: I love when the kids wake up earlier enough to play with Adeline for a few minutes before school ::

:: my heart! I guess pokemon cards can be a good thing ::

 :: this girl and her love of phones, it's exhausting + any chance to go to the school is her favorite ::

 :: piano practice + middle of the week treat with peaches off our tree ::

:: I have about 531,673 pictures off my phone from that girl who is obsessed (they're usually of her forehead) + the lighting this night made me so so happy ::

:: this was what was making that lighting so amazing. I LOVE where we live! ::

:: oh these pictures!! ::

 :: Rudger was still asleep after the brothers left for school, so Adeline climbed right in, pulled the covers over herself, and cozied right up to her brother. Seriously ♥♥♥ ::

These are the kinds of week that boost me right up. There was definitely some craziness, and plenty of homework that took up way too much of our evening, and fighting, and moments when there just wasn't enough time. But I would much rather live my life focusing on the beautiful parts.

our weekend

Another weekend that was just what we needed. On Friday we watched Prince Caspian downstairs and it felt extra cozy.

On Saturday we watched Levi's soccer game and played at the park then we ate leftover pizza for lunch. Dad, Corbs, and Tay went to the last day of Lagoon-a-beach! Later that night we made our way to a fall edition of Havenwood days (2013 and 2014) where the kids were so excited for the popular face painting and Corbin got to drive kids around on a lawn mower. We also caught the first 4 1/2 minutes of tht BYU/U game. It was so good to catch up with friends we don't see as often as we used to.

I looked out the window Sunday evening and my heart was so happy to see the three brothers laying on the trampoline with nothing to do but just be together. That is why I love the weekends!
