November has gone by so fast, I still can't believe it's November 12th! It's just going too fast. I heard someone say that they take the first week or two after Halloween and deep clean their house, then they decorate for Christmas. I love that! I typically don't decorate the main family room until after Thanksgiving, but everywhere else it just makes me so so so happy, so I do it. To me it's all one beautiful happy season, I don't feel the need to separate them. I love this season....a lot!!!

our weekend

We had a very full weekend, in fact our whole week has been pretty full, but that's just where we are in life right now.

Friday we had our ward trunk-or-treat and it felt so good to be together as a ward (we've had a REALLY hard couple of weeks, but I am so grateful for how we have come together during this time)   I have been begging my family to do some kind of family costumes, and no one was digging it. But somehow earlier in the week, Levi had the idea that we should be the days of the week. Yes! We decided to add an emoji to fully express how we feel about each day. :)  It was very well received at the party!

Saturday we headed north to my brothers new property for a Packer Halloween party. The kids were in heaven! So much space to run around and adventure in with lots of their favorite people! It was so fun to catch up with family!

Sunday we woke up to a few flurries and it just made most of us so happy. We turned on Christmas hymns and that just made things even better. Our ward had a special meeting for all adults and we called in members from our stake to come help out in primary. Mandi is AMAZING and played the piano for singing time. The kids loved hearing that she is my sister! ❤ We were enjoying black and white this day.

Justin's parents stopped by for a little to bring Adeline a birthday card. Justin was able to give his dad a blessing before a big surgery he has coming up on Halloween!! We had treat night with our friends and it was a pumpkin/chocolate kind of night, so good! Also, the swelling on my face is like an accordion...one day I feel like myself again, the next day it swells right back up. I can't wait for my jaw to fully heal!!

P.S. I have SO SO much to catch up on, but I keep getting so far behind, so I need to move forward, but I'll continue to add more posts from the rest of 2019 because....summer was good!

Day 5 in Oregon

Our little family took off and headed to Agate Beach in search of some Agates. We totally found some. They were small, but that made finding them so much more exciting! We came home with an adorable collection.

We checked out some shops in Depoe Bay and then everyone there got to finally experience true Oregon weather. Every other day that week, the sky was blue and the sun was shining. They really wanted to see the rain. On our last day there, the rain finally came. I love Oregon rain. (I'm not sure I would love it as much if I was living there?)

The hightlight of the day (or whole trip) was getting home to watch the premiere of Descendants 3. None of us have the Disney channel, so when the kids found out the beach house had it and that we would be there during the premiere, they were so so excited. It was a big part of the trip! :)

Then, of course, our last night was spent on the beach. We played (and when I say play, we spun ourselves around and then took off running, it was quite comical!), we took pictures, and soaked in the last of the salty air before heading home the next day. The fog was perfection and the company was even better.

This trip will go down in our little history as one of our best vacations! We had so many good memories with some pretty amazing people. We already want to go back and relive it!!
