camping at the tushar mountains

Our next door neighbors have been trying to get us to go camping to there favorite spot for the last couple of years. I told Justin that this was the year that we really needed to make this happen. So we packed up and headed south, towards the mountains behind Beaver, to do some serious rough camping.

Those three days were quite heavenly.

There was no agenda. We brought games, books, throwing knives, and a jump rope. Our sweet neighbors brought their 'Rhino' that we got to go exploring in (Corbin loved driving it). When it was raining we were either in our tent playing games or in the Sabodski's trailer putting together puzzles or drinking hot cocoa.

There was a fort and a swing at the campsite that the kids loved! We went on a gorgeous hike and somehow during the hike we started playing a game as a family that reminded me of the movie (or book) 'Bridge to Tarabithia'. I have to admit, it felt good to be a kid again and to use my imagination!

We walked out to the meadow hoping to find the wildlife, we didn't see much, but it had a very 'Sound of Music' vibe. We loved it!

We really had a fantastic vibe, but when the time came to go home, we couldn't get home fast enough. I wanted a warm shower and my bed!
