McCammons - Day 4
Pineview Reservoir for Kayaking + Ballet lessons from Adeline (where she told Jordan he looked weird doing ballet...hahahaha) + The Greatest Showman (it felt good to just sit down and do nothing for a few hours)

McCammons - Day 3
We used to play frisbee every week for years with the McCammons and some of our friends. Soooo, we had to get a game in while they were here. It was so fun to have those kids, who spent many many hours playing with grandma at the park while we played frisbee, play the game with us. We also played soccer (which is THEIR sport) and kick the can.
Later we met grandma and grandpa up the canyon for a hot dog roast. It was beautiful weather . Lots of fun sitting around the campfire, playing in the mountains, and throwing rocks in the stream.
Later that night, we had the BEST time playing fugitive in our neighborhood...seriously, the best time! We felt like really irresponsible parents when we were running around at almost midnight with all the kids, woops. But really, I don't regret it. It was SO memorable. And watching those older cousins pair up with their younger cousins and take such good care of them while running, hiding, dodging those who were the 'cops' (we took turns at adults riding bikes and pulling the two younger ones in the bike trailer while they slept...again, woops) was so special.
And of course, some of the best memories never have a chance at getting their picture taken.
It was a good day!

McCammons - Day 2 (fourth of july)
Traditionally we have been going to our city's parade the morning of the fourth, but there were several people in our group that weren't to keen on the idea. So we did the next best thing...surprise, we headed to the mountains. Jen has really missed the mountains a ton, so we told her we would be happy to hike as much as she wanted to :)
We headed to our favorite area at Snow Basin and hiked all the way up to the Ogden Overlook. The kid were all rockstars! Driving home, Ainsley introduced us to two songs that became two of our favorite songs for the summer (I wish I knew how to find cool music by myself, ha ha) Shotgun and Count on Me ♥♥
We came back for an All-American Barbecue...my favorite ♥ and then headed off to see the fireworks. We loved the live band (they sang Sweet Home Alabama!) and we all just sang and played...and then a crazy, super quick (thankfully) storm passed by and we hid under the blankets. The fireworks were slightly delayed, but as they started going off to all the music (God Bless America, A Sky Full of Stars, Battle Hymn of the Republic), I just looked around me and felt so grateful for so much!

McCammons - Day 1
When the kids found out that their Texas cousins were coming to town, they were so excited. When they found out that they would be staying with us for the whole week...that was next level.
They came in the afternoon, so they spent the evening just catching up and getting to know each other a little better. It was a beautiful evening outside.
The next day (Justin had to work) so we headed to Draper and went to the fun splash pad by grandma and grandpa's house. We also made our way to a waterfall hike and got ourselves nice and wet. We were right by their old house, so we drove past that. (We lived there for 3 months before we moved into our current home ♥) We spent the evening playing in our backyard again.
