Easter weekend

Easter, I love you so much!! We spent our weekend visiting the Tulip Festival (plenty of pictures to proof it), having lunch with the Morris family, searching for eggs, decorating eggs, eating plenty of candy from the Easter baskets, making Challah bread and a new ham recipe, enjoying the messages at church, having an Easter feast; and most important, taking time to think about the greatest miracle of all.

Unfortunately Corbin was sick for most of it. He stayed at Grandma and Grandpa's while we went over the mountain to the festival and on Sunday he stayed home and slept while we went to church :(

We really enjoyed seeing the beauty at these gardens. The walk was really LONG for some of our kids. Corbin was debating on whether or not he should just try and come, but his energy was so low. After realizing how long the walk was, it was a good choice for him to stay with Grandpa. He saved up his energy for the egg hunt and 'Exercise Academy' with cousins. :)

:: my favorite egg made by Rudger ::

:: after dishing up our plates, I was super disappointed with myself on the lack of color in our food (my mom taught me better)::

We hated having Corbin be so sick throughout the weekend, but the beauty of Easter is that some days are dark and gloomy but Sunday will come!

the most lovely april weekend

:: Seriously!! ♥♥♥ Bring on the weekend ::

:: I will never ever get tired of seeing these boys with their sister ::

:: those three pictures up there ^^ leave my heart in a big ol' puddle (Rudger trying to get his dad in the pictures!) ::
(Corbin met a friend there too, so they were just finishing their last ride together before we left)

:: Adeline has been folding her arms everywhere + that look she gives us...all the time (but it's always followed with a big smile) ::

:: best friends that were doing this without us even prompting them to ::

We had just ended our week long staycation for spring break and it was heaven. So much family time and so much down time, it was exactly what we needed to push through to the end of the school year. Even after this amazing week, we still needed a weekend to recover from the week :) (pictures to comes soon!) and this was a perfect weekend. Mainly because the forecast said rain all Saturday. So soccer was cancelled, but then the sun came out, and we headed to Lagoon. It is always good to end our weekend with treat night and friends!

Now today, is my birthday and this family of mine is so good to me.
