Green Pond Hike

 

We loved our day at Green Pond. Beautiful day with the Worthens, including some yoga poses. (But really, we have no idea if they are yoga poses.) All the green was amazing!!

Happy Birthday Justin!

 His last year in his 30s and life is looking pretty amazing. These five kids (and their mommy) look up to him quite a bit!! 

It's also becoming a tradition to have a big group hug for his birthday! It makes me so happy!!

first day of summer... a bust or not?

 

:: Can you see the lack of excitement? ::

For the 1st day of summer break we hiked a trail that we hadn't ever been to before, Davis Creek. If you ask the kids, it was the worst hike ever...and they might be right, it was really steep in some areas. There was some onery kids, but in the end we fought through and made it to the waterfall.  The kids and Justin spent some time throwing rocks in the creek and then headed back to the car...with no intention of ever going back :) 

Corbin grilled some hot dogs for us when we got home, then we told the boys we would do something fun since the hike was not enjoyable. We rode our bikes to a new park and played for a good hour. The kids were much happier!

Later that night while Justin was reading to them, they all crashed really hard. 

Maybe that was a little intense for the first day :)

 :: while the brothers are at school, Adeline sneaks downstairs lay in their bed + weeding has begun ::

 :: finally a tree that gives a little more shade for picnics :) + saturday naps outside ::

:: Adeline took her skirt and put it on like a dress + windy day :: 

:: brothers!! + the boys rigged up a pulley system in the garage ::

 :: just chilling while we wait for the 1st grade program to begin + Rudger and his teacher (he also read lots and lots of hours so he got a trophy!)

 :: riding in dad's car + cheering for our neighbor sister while she performed in the Distinguished Young Woman (she blew it out of the park with her talent...singing and dancing to 'I could have danced all night' ♥♥) ::

:: too tired to keep reading (he has been loving the Geronimo Stilton series) + breakfast outside ::
