Horse back riding with grandma

We love grandma's horses! Any chance to get to ride is a good day. Each kid had the biggest smile and wanted to go around the stables 'just one more time'. The older kids especially loved that they got to go around by themselves!

I love seeing the kids experience something that was such a happy part of my childhood. We're so grateful for grandma!!

Adams Canyon hike

We hiked Adams Canyon on Saturday. It's the second time the whole family has gone together and I'm so proud of them! It's not easy.

This year the snow has taken longer to melt, so we ran into quite a bit of snow. Going up wasn't bad. Coming down was a lot harder. Rudger held onto my hand while I tried to help him down. There was a couple of times I slipped and fell down, but somehow I managed to keep Rudger from falling too. After we got past the hard part, Rudger told me, "mom, you would rather get hurt than have me get hurt, huh." I told him of course, and then I thought of our Savior and the love he has for us. I'm sure it's so hard for Him to see us suffer, but He is there for us. All we need to do is turn to him and he will help us through the hard parts of our journey. I love Him and having this experience with Rudger was the best thing that happened on this Easter weekend.
