july hikes

For the month of July, we made it on two hikes. One was pretty fun and the other was the hike that the kids were looking forward to the most. You can tell my the amount of pictures, between the two, which one was the favorite :)

Mueller Park
We missed Corbin and Taylor on this one. They were busy hiking miles and miles at scout camp. :)

Cecret Lake
(try explaining to an almost first grader that this cecret is spelled with a C)

Definitely the highlight hike. This hike is up at Albion Basin in Alta. Just the name Albion makes me happy and think of the five kingdoms of Great Britain.
(something we became obsessed with during our love of Merlin stage)
But really, the wildflowers are gorgeous, the hike is perfect, and searching for salamanders all afternoon was the best memory for the kids! We also saw a moose!!

our july at a glance

 :: playing at the new park a couple cities over ::

 :: there was even a creek at the park, which was perfect because walking through creeks and summer just go together ::

 :: My sister's friend ended up with one of my dad's dollhouse plans and I got to tag along while Mandi surprised dad with the end result + Adeline playing with one of dad's products ♥♥♥ ::

:: family swim night! ::

 :: donut run + five in the morning for these two scouts ::

:: these summer nights!! ::

 :: while the brothers were at scout camp we played at a creek and picked up free slurpees ::

:: this girl has style ::

 :: the boys came back from a full week at scout camp!!! ::
We missed them so so much!! They were so dirty and had mosquito bites everywhere, but had the biggest smiles and funnest stories to tell!

 :: they both had a great time ::
(I wish I had pictures of Taylor) They hiked, repelled, and adventured with friends! Corbin went on high adventure where he hiked miles and miles and miles and then saw a bear in their camp from their overnight backpacking trip!!! (I'm quite grateful I didn't hear about that until he was safe at home)

:: Corbin was kinda hungry + park day with grandma (we found the funnest park right by her house and she bought us donuts too!) ::

:: Adeline with her sweet friend and two kind twelve year olds ::

 :: arm wrestling at grandma and grandpa's house + I love park days when all five kids are there ::

 :: this may possibly be one of my most favorite pictures ::

 :: Sunday = family time and nap time ::
:)

:: this picture makes me happy, I love these kids ♥♥ ::
I was released from my calling as a primary teacher. :(  I LOVED this class so much (Levi was in the class too!) They have the sweetest spirits and were so amazing at participating in some great class discussions. I now serve in the primary presidency, and having these kids (and my kids from the previous year) run up to give me a hug is THE very best part of this calling! ♥♥

July was a very happy summer month!!
